How to Reach Chilkur Balaji Temple

By Road

From Hyderabad city center (approximately 30 km away), you can reach the temple via the Mehdipatnam-Langer Houz-Chilkur route. The drive is scenic and takes about 45 minutes under regular traffic conditions. The temple lies near the Hyderabad-Chevella road and is well-marked with signage.


By Bus

TSRTC operates regular buses to Chilkur from various parts of the city:

  • From Mehdipatnam: Bus numbers 288D, 288C, and 288N frequently operate.
  • From MGBS (Mahathma Gandhi Bus Station): You may take a connecting bus to Mehdipatnam and then proceed to Chilkur.

The nearest bus stop is the Chilkur Balaji Bus Stop, just a short walk from the temple entrance.


By Train

The nearest railway stations are:

  • Lingampally Railway Station (approx. 20 km away)
  • Hyderabad Deccan (Nampally) Station (approx. 25 km away)
